JUNK YARD

I often stop and shoot photos if I notice something worthwhile to shoot! This giant salvage yard in the East Bottoms, Kansas City is just miles and miles of junked and rusty cars. Great opportunity for capturing textures and faded colors.

MODEL : COURTNIE

Courtnie Marie is just a doll!  She needed some portfolio pieces for her move to LA so we met up and did a quick walk around downtown Lee's Summit.  Just stunning! Besides being a top shelf model, she's also a certified Makeup Artist.  She's either doing makeup for other models or modeling herself, she's a full plate of skills. If you need a stellar model or Makeup Pro, I'd highly suggest Courtnie.

ESTATE

Estates like these seem like a dream. Fantastic home and excellent landscaping. One thing to remember when working on Real Estate projects is to take your time doing the shoot, you don't want to miss any details that may help sell a piece of property.  Think about shooting the home from all angles inside and out and make sure to get all the additional details, the pool, the spiraling staircase, the porches and verandas. These items are very useful to brokers.

MODEL: MIRANDA

Miranda is another Kansas City model who is constantly changing her look and portfolio, she was looking for some pinup style pics and gave me a call. This was an easy, indoor shoot, with only a ring flash. I normally don't use flash at all, but the steady and even light of ring flashes are great for glamour.

EVIL PAWN JEWELRY: MODEL: CHENEE

This test shoot was a trial for Evil Pawn. I had seen alot of their jewelry around town and just had to borrow some and do a test. Chenee is a great model, she's very aware of how she looks and where the jewelry is. After this test, 81sikc secured two major shoots with Evil Pawn. It can pay to be persistent to land bigger gigs, and this test shoot did just that.

EVIL PAWN JEWELRY : PRODUCTS

I love doing products shoots, again, it's Evil Pawn. These are shot with no flash, but using an LED mini light to brighten the jewelry. I like LED alot, it's a pure light and generally brighter than most desklamps or regular room lights. With product photography, play with your focus area, it can give great results for detail in some areas while throwing the background out of focus.  Catalogue shots are fun and stress free and very important to helping selling high end jewelry like these examples.
